How to reach us?
Thanks to the favorable location of the island of Krk, access to our place is easy and varied. Here are a few ways you can visit us:
By car
- Krk is connected to the mainland by a bridge, which facilitates access from the main traffic routes via Rijeka and Zagreb.
- Take care of possible crowds on weekends and monitor road conditions via the HAK website..
By bus
- The island of Krk is well connected by bus lines with Rijeka and other cities in Croatia, as well as with neighboring countries such as Italy, Slovenia, Germany and Bosnia and Herzegovina
- Rijeka is a hub for transfers from other directions, so you can choose a bus as a means of transport.
By plane
- Apart from the bridge, another great advantage is the proximity of the Rijeka airport, located about 1 km east of Omišalj and 25 km from the center of Rijeka.
- Rijeka Airport has international flights, but it is also connected to other cities in Croatia.
By boat
- Traveling by boat is another option, and the ferry port of Valbiska on the island of Krk connects the island with the piers of Merag on the island of Cres and Lopar on the island of Rab.
- The Valbiska ferry port is only a 20-minute drive from Omišalj.
Moving around Omišlje and Njivice
Parking
Once you arrive, there are different parking zones that charge from June 1st to September 15th. Residents, legal entities and real estate owners in the Omišalj municipality can sell preferential parking tickets for that period. Pesja d.o.o. charges for parking in Omišlja and Njivice at the following locations of public parking lots:

Romobiles and bicycles
At eight locations along the island of Krk, specifically in the settlements of Krk, Punat, Malinska, Baška, Klimno, Vrbnik, Njivice and Omišalj, there are electric charging stations, i.e. stations with electric bicycles. Bicycles can be rented every day, 24 hours a day, by paying by credit card.
The rental process itself is simple and is done with the help of the Go2Bike mobile application, which also controls certain functions of the electric bike, such as its locking.
In addition to driving, moving around Omišalj and Njivice is possible by renting a bicycle or scooter.
Taxi
If you need a taxi, their stands are located in the center of Omišalj, on the roundabout and in Njivice, on Ribarska obali (in front of the building of TZO Omišalj).

Lines from Zagreb as well as inter-county and county lines arrive at the bus station. With a transfer in Zagreb, Rijeka is connected to all of Europe.
For those who prefer peace and seclusion, there are natural beaches in the nearby bays that have excellent access by car or on foot, on a paved or gravel road.
