The promotional film “Beyond the Map”, a joint project of the Krk Island Tourist Board and all local tourist boards on the island, including the Omišalj Tourist Board, continues to achieve remarkable success on the international tourism and film scene.

Following a series of prestigious awards received over the past year, the film was recently honored with a Gold Award at the WorldMediaFestival in Germany in the Branded Storytelling: Culture & Values Stories category. Competing against projects from around the world, the film was recognized for its authentic storytelling, emotional appeal, and its ability to showcase the unique identity and values of the Island of Krk.

Another significant achievement came at the renowned Telly Awards, one of the world’s leading competitions celebrating excellence in video and television production. Among approximately 13,000 entries from across the globe, “Beyond the Map” received a Silver Award in the Travel & Tourism category, further expanding its growing collection of international accolades.

Produced by Level 52, the film presents the Island of Krk through stunning visuals, highlighting its natural beauty, hiking trails, outdoor experiences, and authentic island lifestyle. Through a narrative that encourages viewers to explore destinations “beyond the map,” the film captures the spirit of discovery and invites audiences to experience Krk from a new perspective.

A particular strength of the project lies in the collaboration of all tourist boards on the island, working together to promote the diversity and richness of Krk’s tourism offer. The film features numerous natural and cultural landmarks that reinforce Krk’s position as one of Croatia’s leading destinations for active holidays and immersive travel experiences.

These latest awards once again demonstrate how high-quality destination marketing, rooted in authenticity, sustainability, and meaningful storytelling, can successfully engage international audiences and strengthen the global recognition of the Island of Krk.
